Booker 2022 Our Predictions for Winner
Who do we think has what it takes?
BookWorm: I would love to see Seven Moons however the Booker judges and I never agree so it will probably by Glory.
Tracy: This has been an incredible shortlist, and it was a great longlist. I would be happy to see any of the books win, and I don’t ever say that. Prediction for the WINNER: The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida.
Nicole: I, too, wish for Seven Moons. But I suspect sentimentality will win out, and my prediction is Treacle Walker.
Anita: I would love to see Glory win, however, the Booker judges and I never agree so it will probably be Seven Moons.
Lisa: My favorite is The Trees. But my prediction is Glory — given its unique style and focus on politics on a large scale.
Jen: My prediction is that The Trees will take it. It is my personal favorite from this list which probably means it won’t be selected but I do think it ticks a lot of boxes when it comes to the types of books that are often selected.

The only one I’ve read is Small Things, which I don’t think should or will win.
