Synopsis from Goodreads: Dexter meets Mr. and Mrs. Smith in this wildly compulsive debut thriller about a couple whose fifteen-year marriage has finally gotten too interesting…

Our love story is simple. I met a gorgeous woman. We fell in love. We had kids. We moved to the suburbs. We told each other our biggest dreams, and our darkest secrets. And then we got bored.

We look like a normal couple. We’re your neighbors, the parents of your kid’s friend, the acquaintances you keep meaning to get dinner with.

We all have secrets to keeping a marriage alive.

Ours just happens to be getting away with murder.

Book Worm’s Thoughts: This book does exactly what it says on the tin, it is indeed a blend of Dexter meets Mr and Mrs Smith our narrator would be a lovely funny guy if he wasn’t one half of a murderous couple.

I love how our narrator manages to come across as a sympathetic character, he is a Dad, he cares about his kids, he is tennis coach with a good social life and then again he is a killer but despite that I still liked him.

I know this will sound like a cliche but this is a fast paced, page turner of a thriller and I stayed up way past my bedtime (which is normally 21:30) to see how it would all end. Readers familiar with the genre will probably guess the first twist early on (at least I did) and the outcome again will be familiar, that said this book is about the journey and that journey is highly entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.

Who would like this? I would recommend this to those who have a dark sense of humour and who enjoy light thrillers (there is nothing graphic in this book) those looking for blood and gore should look elsewhere.

We want to hear from you! Have you read this book? What did you think?
