So how did our judges do? Book Worm and Anita each predicted 0, Tracy and Lisa each predicted 1, Nicole predicted 2, and I came in as this year’s winner with a whopping total of 4 correct predictions. I predicted 4.
What do you think of the list? Did your favorites make the list? I’m most looking forward to reading In Ascension and The House of Doors but each year some selections pleasantly surprise me so my favorite may end up being a book I hadn’t considered. Our other panelists will share their thoughts in the comments.
We encourage you all to read along with us as our panelists delve into the longlist and review all 13 books. We will reveal our shortlist predictions after having posted all the reviews.
Well, at least I got one right! I’ve read four, so I guess I’ve got some reading to do. I’m excited to jump into this list, especially since so many titles are new to me and others were on my radar, just waiting to be read.
Here we go!

This feels more like what Booker was meant to be! A bunch of books I’ve not heard of 🙂 Love the Irish presence, happy there’s no Zadie Smith or Salman Rushdie and flummoxed about the books we can’t get our hands on.

I might have predicted 0 but I have read a whooping 2.75 already so go me. Pleased to find so many new to me authors but will admit I am gutted that Deborah Levy didn’t get Longlisted.
