Booker Shortlist 2021: A Passage North

Why it Could Win:.It made the shortlist, lots of readers seem to like it and some the Booker judges do like a rambling book (Ducks Newburyport I am looking at you).
Why it Might Not Win: Not everyone (me,me,me) likes a rambling narrative, the historical sections feel jarring and the book really doesn’t go anywhere.

Why it Could Win: The writing is stunning- it has such beautiful sentences.
Why it Might Not Win: It is ephemeral, and not everyone likes ephemeral.
