This year we are hosting a scavenger hunt challenge which involves a few hidden prizes. The first of those prizes was a challenge to find (and read) the book with the most beautiful book cover. Participants competed against each other to select the book they thought would win. Two weeks ago we asked all of you to help us pick the winner. The votes are in! With 66 votes, the winner is…

    I recently read Yann Martel’s The High Mountains of Portugal, which I thought had a very pretty cover. It’s simple, but I love the colors.

    Oh goodness me! Thank you! I ended up not voting for my own, I voted for Akata Witch.

    There’s almost too much choice on that list of books, but I’d like Every Man For Himself by Beryl Bainbridge, please. The only one of hers I’ve read is Injury Time, which was bizarrely funny.

    I love The Sleeper and the Spindle cover – it has a dust jacket made of semi-transparent parchment and creates a layered, veiled look for the book. The white, black and gold works fantastic together as well: http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1412343723l/23301545.jpg
