Summer Reading Update #2

It’s time for a Summer Challenge update! Every two weeks or so we will be posting an update on the challenge along with some ideas for book locations. Still want to join? We will keep the challenge sign up open until the end of this month. You can learn more about our summer challenge here.

In each update, we will give an honorable mention to the reader who posts our favorite book-location pairing since time of last update. Keep reading to find out who is in the lead and to get some ideas for your book locations.

• Area 51: Guardian’s Ten Best Aliens in Science Fiction
• Oktoberfest: This is a tough one but you can go in several different directions. You can pick a book set in Germany. Here’s a list of German books from the Guardian. You could also think about books with an alcohol theme. The Daily Beast has a list of the 10 best books on literary drunkenness. Finally, you could pick a non-fiction book about beer, beer brewing, beer tasting, etc.
